Our Access Statement ~
Westwood is an Edwardian house built around 1907 at the top of a fairly steep residential street. There is pavement access for the whole of the route from Westwood to the town and beach, anyone with walking difficulties may find the walk challenging. However, there are local taxis firms that are happy to do short trips and even a bus service that has a stop at the top of Silver street which is opposite the top of Woodmead road.
We have 2 car parks, the front door entrance is accessed from the street pavement down 2 steps to the front door and then 1 step into the hall. There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor as well as the lounge and conservatory dining room.
The rear terraces are accessed down 1 step via the French doors leading from the lounge and dining room and a further 5 steps into the garden which can also be accessed through the gate in the bottom car park into the garden and to the garden suite, the garden suite is not integral to the main house but can also be accessed via the gate in the lower car park.
The other bedrooms are on the 1st floor, 12 stairs lead to a small landing then 3 directly in front lead to one bedroom, 2 steps to the right lead to another small landing with 1 step to the left into one bedroom and 2 to the right leading to the remaining three bedrooms.
At Westwood we are lucky enough to offer free onsite parking with spaces for nine average carefully parked cars. Due to the nature of the space we have it is necessary for some double parking so access can be limited, for this reason it will be necessary to leave your car keys in case of emergencies and your cooperation will be very much appreciated.
If you prefer Holmbush car park which is at the end of Pound Street DT7 3HX. This car park is a 5 minute walk from Westwood and has parking fees
We suggest that you drop off your luggage at Westwood before you park at Holmbush.
